Mr. Sammy Lynn Seavers, age 74, of Union City, TN, formerly of Mayfield, KY, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at the home of his daughter.

He was an avid golfer and a retired employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.

Mr. Seavers is survived by his loving companion of 26 years, Anita Everett; one son, Eric (Kim) Seavers of Fancy Farm, KY; one daughter, Misty Seavers Shea of Ledbetter, KY; one brother, Ricky (Nancy) Seavers of North Carolina; four sisters, Paula (Larry) Cope, Cindy Seavers, Lisa Dalton and Jennifer Seavers all of Mayfield, KY; five grandchildren, Allie Seavers, Abby Seavers, Lauren Shea, Austin Shea and Sydney Shea; and one great grandchild, Cohen Swinford.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark Seavers and Michael Seavers; one sister, Vicki Seavers King; and his parents, Paul and Jeanette Houseman Seavers.

Graveside services for Mr. Sammy Lynn Seavers will be 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Maplewood Cemetery. Interment will follow.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Morgan, Austin Shea, Chris Cope, Carey Cope, Jarrod King and Joseph Brooker.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
