Mrs. Shirley Vaughan, age 83, of Mayfield passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Salem Springlake Nursing & Rehab in Salem, KY.

She was a retired employee of Piggly Wiggly.

Mrs. Vaughan is survived by two daughters, Jennie (Kevin) Usher of Mayfield, KY and Kristy Vaughan of Paducah, KY; one son, James Gray of Princeton, KY; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lelon Vaughan; one son, Ricky Cox; and her parents, William "Bill" and Jennie Carr Bass.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Vaughan will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Mickey Fowler will officiate.  Interment will follow at Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Usher, Billy Bob Cheshire, Dylan Cheshire, Jason O'Neill, D.J. Houston and James Vallery.  Treyson O'Neill will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
