Dr. Ted H. Jefferson, age 59, of Mayfield passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026 at his residence.

He was a member of AOAO, a member of AAOS, a member of Three Rivers Martial Arts Academy and a self-employed orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Jefferson is survived by his wife, Lisa Wieder Jefferson; his parents, William and Nancy Howard Jefferson of Ocean City, NJ; four sons, Adam Jefferson of Chicago, IL, Ryan (Allyson) Jefferson of Paducah, KY, Evan Jefferson of Mayfield, KY and Liam Jefferson of Cincinnati, OH; one brother, Matt (Meredith) Jefferson of Ocean City, NJ; one sister-in-law, Kelly Jefferson; four grandchildren, Parker Jefferson, Kohen Jefferson, Rylie Jefferson and Phoenixx Jefferson; and four nephews and one niece.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Jefferson.

A memorial service for Dr. Ted H. Jefferson will be 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Chad Lamb will officiate.

Visitation will be 4:30 - 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
