Vera Jean Ray's Obituary
Mrs. Vera Jean Ray, age 82, of Mayfield passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at the home of her daughter.
She was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ray is survived by three sons, Jon (Luis Arriagade) Ray of Houston, TX, Keith (Vangie) Ray of Mayfield, KY and Joe (Jeannie) Ray of Mayfield, KY; two daughters, Jean Hopwood of Sand Hill, KY and Leigh (Chris) Tubbs of Mayfield, KY; four brothers, James Thomas of Lynnville, KY, William Thomas of Virginia, Jackie Thomas of Wingo, KY and Johnny Thomas of Mayfield, KY; one sister, Betty Greenfield of Mayfield, KY; ten grandchildren: ten great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Ray; one son, Randy Ray; one sister, Ernestine Lamb; and her parents, Swane and Marion Lancaster Thomas.
Graveside services for Mrs. Vera Jean Ray will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2021 At the Spence Chapel Cemetery in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Brian Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow at Spence Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Keith Ray, Joe Ray, Chris Tubbs, Kyle Hopwood, Ryan Ray, Chase Ray, Dakota Ray and Tyler Tubbs.
Visitation will be 12:00 - 2:00p.m. on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the funeral home.
