Virginia Dare Biss, age 87, of Mayfield, KY passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Mills Health and Rehab in Mayfield, KY.

She was a retired employee from Butler Shade and of the Baptist Faith.

Virginia is survived by her two daughters, Jeanne Taylor of Painted Post, NY and Vivian (David) Travis of Farmington, KY; three brothers, James (Sally) Hargrove of Fredericksburg, VA, Kenneth (Nancy) Hargrove and Donald (Bonnie) Hargrove both of Mayfield, KY; one sister, Juanita (Robert) Crawford of Mayfield, KY; three granddaughters, Taylor Travis of Los Angeles, CA, Carson Travis of Murfreesboro, TN and Emerson Travis of Farmington, KY; several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lennis Franklin and Mallie Josie Skaggs Hargrove; two brothers, Joe Hargrove and Murrel Hargrove.

A funeral service for Virginia Dare Biss is scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, September 14, 2025 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Glenn Cope will officiate. David Travis, David Hargrove, Joey Hargrove, Russ Hargrove, John Farris and Bubba Winfrey will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in the North Mt. Zion Cemetery in Mayfield, KY.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at the funeral home.
