Volena Boyd's Obituary
Mrs. Volena Boyd, age 93, of Lynnville, KY passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.
She attended Lynnville Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Curlee Clothing Company and Community Hospital.
Mrs. Boyd is survived by one son, Dan Boyd of Lynnville, KY; one daughter, Ann (Don) Oldham of Wingo, KY; two grandchildren, Isaac Boyd Oldham of Louisville, KY and Dana Boyd Cassel of Utica, MS; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Boyd; five brothers, Ruble Chambers, Hulon Chambers, Reble Chambers, Joel Chambers and William Halford Chambers; two sisters, Willie Mae Chambers and Verbie Chambers; and her parents, Floyd and Tommie Lamb Chambers.
Funeral services for Mrs. Volena Boyd will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Mark Burnett will officiate. Interment will follow at Lynnville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Walker, Kerry Wiggins, Gerald Wiggins, Jared Brown, Mike Boyd and Billie Peal.
Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the funeral home.
