Mrs. Wanda Jean Sasseen, age 89, of Mayfield passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Life Care in LaCenter, KY.

She was a member of High Point Baptist Church for 63 years, a Sedalia High School graduate and a retired 32 year employee of General Tire.

Mrs. Sasseen is survived by two sons, Greg (Darla) Sasseen of Mayfield, KY and Monty (Shannon) Sasseen of Nashville, TN; one brother, Harold (Judy) Morris of San Antonio, TX; three sisters, Carol (Rick) Johnson of Frankfort, MI, Cindy (Ronald) Blalock of Mayfield, KY and Kay (David) Guthrie of Dublin, KY; five grandchildren, Emily Sasseen, Houston (Amy Vaughn) Sasseen, Abby (Eric) Noonan, Jon (Ashley) Snider and Ryan (Ashton) Snider; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray T. Sasseen; four brothers, David Morris, Billy Morris, Bobby Morris and David Crawford; and her parents, Herman Morris and Annie Irene Morris Crawford.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Jean Sasseen will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Ronnie Morris, Rev. Brad Morris and Rev. Marcus Burnett will officiate.  Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Houston Sasseen, Tim Morris, Matthew Morris, John Wiggins, Brad Wiggins and Chad Madding.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Morris, Steve Sasseen, Stan Sasseen, Ronald Blalock, Billy Kinsey and John Kinsey.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
