Mr. Waymon "Sonny" Vinson, age 85, of Mayfield passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at his residence.

He was a member of Free Gospel Church in Paducah, KY, the retired owner / operator of Vinson's Tractor Service and a U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. Vinson is survived by two sons, Waymon (Sheila) Vinson, Jr. of Cuba, KY and Todd (Cheryl) Vinson of Benton, KY; one sister, Shirley Ladd of Mayfield, KY; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Riley Vinson and his parents, Kermitt and Kathleen Stewart Vinson.

Funeral services for Mr. Waymon "Sonny" Vinson will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Todd Hawkins will officiate.  Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 26.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
