Mr. William E. "Bill" Tanner, age 82, of Bardwell passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.

He was a member of Bardwell Church of Christ and a retired Goodyear Tire Dealer.

Mr. Tanner is survived by his wife, Ramona Nicholson Tanner; one daughter, Jennifer (Eric) Montgomery of Lawrence, KS; one son, Phillip (Andrea) Tanner of Denver, CO; one step-daughter, Terre (Patrick) Adams of Lexington, KY; one step-son, Randy Wilson of Paducah, KY;  two sisters, Ann Middleton, Leawood, KS and Carol Wolf of Waxhaw, NC; eight grandchildren, Ben Rapp of New York, NY, Lindsay Rapp of London, England, Oliver Rapp of Oslo Norway, Andrew Tanner of Denver, CO, Margaret (Cooper) Vaughn of Lexington, KY, William (Sylvia) Adams of Boston, MA, Abby Adams of California and Tori (Anthony) Cruse of Benton, KY; and four great grandchildren, Bryce Cruse, Blakely Cruse, Edith Adams and Sage Vaughn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Janice Elwood Tanner.

Funeral services for Mr. William "Bill" Tanner will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Bardwell Church of Christ.  Jay Berry and Michael Trivette will officiate.  Entombment will follow at Elsey Cemetery.

Visitation will be 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
